Abstract

This study examined the moderating effect of grit on the association of researcher-rated naturalistic life stress and ventral striatal reactivity to reward. Results indicated that interpersonal chronic stress and ventral striatal reactivity were positively associated in individuals with high levels of grit, and negatively associated in those with low grit.
