Abstract
This study evaluated the transgenerational effects of caregiver neglect history on adolescent adjustment. Findings revealed caregiver neglect severity predicted increased hostility while parenting the next generation, which, in turn, predicted low self-worth in middle childhood and decreased social competence, association with delinquent peers, and lower satisfaction with life in adolescence.
