Children's Selective Imitation and Overimitation: Looking for Common Mechanisms

This planned study will compare selective imitation and overimitation in preschoolers. We expect that these two abilities will become dissociated with age. We also expect individual differences in selective imitation to have greater association with Theory of Mind, whereas overimitation abilities to have greater association with social affiliation.
