Abstract
With the goal of fostering inclusive learning environments, university departments have begun encouraging, or in some cases, requiring instructors to include diversity statements in syllabi. This study expands prior research by investigating whether tonal modifications (warm or cold) to course syllabi impact student perceptions of instructors who include diversity statements.
