Abstract
We investigated the interaction between perceptual and conceptual cues in bilinguals' speech perception. Explicitly, we presented a restricted range of perceptual cues which either matched, or mismatched conceptual predictions. Bilinguals’ larger MMN-N2b in the mismatched context suggests their diverse perceptual routines led to the more efficient allocation of cognitive resources.
