School Climate and Student-Based Contextual Factors Predict School Attendance

Abstract
The present study identified school climate and other student-based contextual contributors to school attendance utilizing CHAID. Models suggested that physical safety, academic mindset, and physical environment/resources were the most salient predictors at 5+% absenteeism, and academic mindset and respect for diversity were the most salient predictors at 15+% absenteeism.
