A Crumpled Flower: Sexual Assault's Moderating Effect on the Relationships between Purity Culture, Rape Myth Acceptance, and Mental Health

Purity culture is a movement that emphasizes sexual purity and traditional gender roles in young women. I hypothesize that Christian women who endorse purity culture and have been sexually assaulted will experience higher levels of anxiety, depression, and sexual depression. Furthermore, this effect will be mediated through rape myth acceptance.
