Abstract

We found that employability buffers the negative effects of job insecurity (JI) on employee outcomes. Results further indicated that the buffering effects of JI were stronger in individualistic, and low uncertainty avoidance cultures. Employees in high-masculinity cultures also experienced stronger negative effects of JI when perceptions of employability were low.
