Abstract

Two-waves of data from Korean employees supported a model explaining the effects of job insecurity on work behaviors via cognitive appraisals. Job insecurity was appraised as a challenge by employees with high psychological hardiness or empowering leaders, which in turn resulted in more work effort and fewer job search behaviors.
