Weak Psychometric Properties in Theory of Mind Tasks Compared to Fluid and Crystallized Intelligence

Theory of mind (ToM) is the ability to understand behaviors that differ from our own. To date, little psychometric research has been conducted on ToM. Here, exploratory and confirmatory measurement models reveal that ToM tasks do not form a coherent construct. Instead, they largely overlap with other cognitive ability factors.
