Abstract
This experiment (N=275) tests whether deadlines at work affect the degree to which people intend to engage in helpful organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), detrimental counterproductive work behavior (CWB), and productive task-related behavior. Results suggest that as deadlines draw near, people may be less likely to engage in OCB.
