Abstract

In a sample of over 400 undergraduate participants, we examined the consequences of concealing self-esteem on a person’s overall distress and relationship well-being. Results of this cross-sectional online survey show that those with lower self-esteem were more likely to conceal their self-esteem, which in turn, leads to lower well-being.
