Abstract
Differential susceptibility theory suggests that the impact of trait sensory processing sensitivity depends on the nature of one’s childhood environment. We demonstrated a positive association between the level of sensitivity and self-perceived stress in adults, but found that this association was not moderated by the extent of adverse childhood experiences.
