Abstract

The current study sought to create a new biracial/bicultural identity development model and measure. The findings suggest that a high sense of belonging (SOB) and a healthy, evolved biracial/bicultural identity resulted in greater psychological wellbeing. However, regardless of one’s SOB, biracial/bicultural individuals still exhibit fluency in code-switching skills.
