The Relation between Stress and Impulsivity during the First Year of College

This longitudinal study examines the relations between recent and chronic stress and the development of three impulsigenic traits, negative urgency, planning, and persistence, among college freshmen. Results suggest that chronic stress may be associated with some facets of impulsivity, but the effects of recent stress are more complex.
