Good, Bad, or Useful? the Intersection of Social Identity and Subjective Expected Utility on Follower Interpretation of Leader Behavior

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the role of social categorization and prototypes that might explain how followers view negative leader behavior. Building on social identity theories, we hypothesize that prototypical leaders are afforded more leeway by their followers when they engage in self-serving behavior.
