Abstract
The proposed study sought to examined Cumulative Trauma effects on later parenting, and the potential buffering effects of GRIT & Religiosity/Spirituality on parenting among Single Black Mothers (SBM). Collectively, the findings suggested that Cumulative Trauma greatly affected parental incompetency among SBM, with modest buffering effects found regarding GRIT-Perseverance, Spirituality/Religiosity, GRIT-Consistency.
