Abstract
We tested hypotheses that the COVID-19 pandemic and parental MDD history would both independently and interactively predict greater depression symptoms. Using self-reports of current (May 2020) and retrospectively-recalled pre-pandemic mood, and parental history, we showed that pandemic onset and parental history did not interact but independently predicted increased depression symptoms.
