Abstract

The ability to regulate oneself is a critical determinant of important life outcomes. The current study finds a positive relationship between the tendency to experience situations from a broader future-oriented perspective (trait temporal distancing) and leadership ability with military officer candidates during their capstone pre-commissioning leadership development and evaluation training.

Military
