Abstract
Research supports expressive writing (EW) interventions to reduce post-trauma distress. This meta-analysis summarized the emerging literature on EW interventions on intimate partner/sexual violence (IPV/SV) survivors. We found no effect of EW interventions on IPV/SV survivor wellbeing. IPV/SV survivors are a unique population, and they may require modified EW paradigms.
