Inspirational Names Generate Warmth, and a Bit of Competence

Names impact what we think of people, often negatively. This study shows a positive effect for names. People with inspirational names were judged significantly more competent and much warmer than those with non-inspirational names. Names form an impression and set a stage for our expectations of others.
