Abstract
Prior research showed mixed results regarding the relationships among childhood maltreatment, emotional intelligence, and sexual perpetration. We conducted research to see if gender explained these differences. Results found that childhood sexual abuse, but not emotional intelligence, significantly predicted sexual perpetration in men, while the opposite approached significance in women.
