Severity of Weather Fears Varies By U.S. Climate Region

Abstract
We investigated whether American adults experienced different weather fears based upon the climate region in which they live. Results showed individuals living along the coastlines of the United States were more likely to fear hurricanes, while those living in the center of the country were more likely to fear tornadoes.
