Emotion Regulation Strategies Relate to Students’ Academic Performance in Different Ways

Abstract
For Chinese adolescents, among eight emotion regulation strategies examined in this study, developing competencies had a positive correlation with students' overall academic performance, while redirecting attention had a negative one. Other emotion regulation strategies (e.g., reappraisal, suppression) did not show significant correlation.
