Abstract
Dysfunction in the sense of agency has been suggested as a cause of auditory hallucinations. However, agency over speech has not been extensively characterized. We reveal two components that constitute self-agency during speech: action-outcome causality and self-voice identity. Our findings are informative for understanding aberrant experience in auditory hallucinations.
