Does Severity of SH and Friendship Status of Direct Witness Influence Other College Student Responses to Faculty-Student Coercive Sexual Harassment?

Experimental examination of reactions to a peer witness’ description of faculty-student SH. SH severity influenced peers’ perceptions of harm to victim, responsibility to act, fear of consequences if helped, and emotional responses to perpetrator and victim. Credibility of report and responsibility to act higher when peer source was a friend.
