The Moderating Role of Activism in the Microaggression-Anxiety Link in Black and Asian Americans

Abstract
Racial microaggressions, specifically exoticization, were positively associated with anxiety for Black adults who reported higher levels of political activism. However, political activism did not moderate the relationship between microaggression and distress in Asian adults. These insights are important given the growing prevalence of political participation.
