Body Image Instability: Preliminary Evidence for the Factorial Structure and Validity of a New Measure for Studying Eating Disturbances in Young Adult Women

The present study sought to formally establish the concept of body image instability and provide evidence for the validity of the Vacillating Body Image Scale (VBIS). Our findings present promising evidence for the role of body image instability in understanding eating disturbances and broader psychological maladjustment in young adult women.
