Animal Attitudes and Relationships: The Association with Ownership and Type of Animal

The study explored (1) companion animal ownership in relation to attitudes towards animals and (2) companion animal relationships as a function of animal type among college students. Companion animal ownership was associated with a more favorable attitude towards animals, but animal type was not differentially associated with companion animal relationships.
