Abstract
We examined changes in the Emotional Availability of mother-child dyads over the course of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), a behavioral intervention. We found that mother, child, and dyadic Emotional Availability significantly improved from pre- to post-PCIT assessment points, suggesting that PCIT may enhance the dynamic quality of this important relationship.
