Abstract
Mexican immigrant targets were perceived as more conscientious, more agreeable, and more likely to succeed when depicted as assimilated or documented, or when judged by U.S. Americans low on social dominance. Participants identified more with assimilated Mexican immigrant targets, but perceived them to be less representative of Mexican immigrants.
