Abstract
This study explored the Big Five personality dimensions in Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED), a disorder of affective aggression in the DSM-5. Individuals with IED show similar personality profiles to other psychiatric groups and distinct profiles from healthy controls. Psychosocial impairment in IED was associated with low conscientiousness and high neuroticism.
