Abstract
Discrimination is associated with higher BMI, but little is known of the biological pathways that may link discrimination to BMI. Inflammation has been shown to be a marker of chronic stress. Using causal mediation analyses, we find that discrimination is partially mediated by inflammation (CRP) to increase BMI over time.
