Mothers' Role Strain and the Influence on Perceived Stress

Perceptions of stress were examined in 112 married-working mothers, 112 married-non-working mothers, and 112 single-working mothers. Results demonstrate that single-working mothers experience statistically higher stress than both married-working and married-non-working mothers and that stress did not differ significantly between working- and non-working mothers.
