Abstract
We examined how emotional dysregulation and negative affect mediated the relationship between insecure attachment and various relationship outcomes (interpersonal problems, romantic relationship maintenance behaviors, friendship intimacy and satisfaction). Both insecure attachment styles were associated with all emotional dysregulation issues; different mediated patterns emerged for the two styles across relationship outcomes.
