Structured Oral Interview Rating Errors and Demographic Group Differences: Two Applied Examples

This poster presents an examination of rating errors from recent law enforcement selection and promotional procedures. The errors examined include central tendency, leniency, severity, and halo error, as well as race and gender effects. Considerations for controlling these errors and improving reliability as well practical and legal implications are discussed.
