Does Unitization Strategy Reduce Age-Related Associative Memory Deficit in Older Adults?

This study investigated whether unitization strategy could facilitate associative memory performance in older adults. In two studies, young and older adults learned word pairs under control and unitization instruction and were later tested on their memory for these pairs. Results showed improvements in younger but not older adults.
