Abstract

The Breath-Counting Task, a recently validated objective measure of mindfulness (Levinson et al., 2015; Wong et al., 2018), was not found to predict mindfulness. However, BCT accuracy negatively predicted self-regulation and BCT resets positively predicted self-regulation. BCT miscounts were not related to any aspects of mindful body awareness.
