Abstract
Participants completed a golf putting task where knowledge of performance and type of putter was manipulated. Manipulating knowledge of outcomes resulted in changes in perceptual responses, and confidence, but not performance. Results suggest that, in a sporting task, knowledge of outcomes impacts perceptions of performance but not necessarily performance itself.
