Abstract

Experiencing and witnessing aggression can have negative outcomes. We examined the relationships between (a) experiencing and witnessing aggression, (b) source of aggression, (c) age of exposure, and lifetime Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED) in men and women. Men and women showed similar effects of exposure to aggression on lifetime IED diagnosis.
