Medical Professionals Have Limited Familiarity with Synesthesia

We surveyed 73 medical professionals about their knowledge of synesthesia. Just under half of the participants were familiar with the condition, and most had not spoken with patients about it. Participants had limited knowledge of the causes, types, and demographics of synesthesia, but expressed interest in learning more.
