Examining the Differences between Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviors and Perceptions of Treatment Amongst Sexual Minorities and Hetereosexual College Students

We surveyed 54 participants that identified as Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual (LGB) or heterosexual. The LGB group reported higher suicidal thoughts and behaviors than the heterosexual group and better treatment alliance with their providers; however, they wanted more therapist self-disclosure and longer or more frequent therapy sessions.
