Abstract

We compared the motivational antecedents and consequences of Anxiety and Dread using data mining techniques. Tweets were collected over a one-week period. More Tweets were associated with Anxiety than Dread. Dread was primarily associated with existential beliefs and mundane activities, while Anxiety was associated with mental illness and dysfunction.
