Abstract
Coping/emotion regulation is an important correlate of psychopathology in children and adolescents. Given emerging use of laboratory methods and daily ratings for measuring coping/ER, we examined the validity of a brief coping/ER measure in the laboratory. We found evidence for concurrent and discriminant validity and predictive validity for internalizing/externalizing symptoms.
