Abstract
63 participants were randomly assigned to one of six conditions in a 3 (controlled vs. dominant-decoy (wide range) vs. non-dominant-decoy (narrow range)) X 2 (time-limited vs. time-delayed) between-subjects design; and were asked to imagine they were ranking hotels in Auckland, NZ for a planned vacation. Results and implication are discussed.
