Abstract
Poor regulation hampers relationships, whereas lack of relationships undermines regulation. Among 795 children biannually monitored from age 6 to 16, higher emotional reactivity overlapped with more victimization. Prospective analyses showed that emotional reactivity predicted future vulnerability for victimization, and vice versa, mostly among boys.
