Abstract
Real-time monitoring (EMA) of adolescent self-injurious thoughts and behaviors (SITBs) is proposed to address limitations of retrospective interviews. This 28-day monitoring study found more adolescents reported SITBs using EMA than in the final interview, though this differed by SITB sub-type. Frequency of SITBs did not account for differences in reporting.
