Abstract
A fixed effects one-way ANOVA with Tukey post hoc test calculated to compare the effect of marital status on the digit-span total raw scores (working memory) in older adults. Results suggest that marriage is linked to higher working memory abilities, which may suggest that an intimate partnership offer cognitive stimulation.
