Abstract

Maternal-fetal attachment (MFA) is an important component of the parent-child bond. Here, we investigated links between MFA and postnatal maternal perceptions of parenting stress among mothers in an urban area. MFA was uniquely associated with dysfunction within the parent-child dyad as a source of stress in the parenting role.
