A Gritty Brain? the Importance of Default Mode Network Activity in Grit

Abstract
We explored differences in resting-state brain activity associated with grit. Grit reflects a person’s perseverance and passion for long term goals. Significant differences were found over midline electrodes between high and low grit groups. We discuss the role of the default mode network in building high levels of grit.
